In 2005 GFP co-founder Deb and her daughter, Amy, were diagnosed with Celiac Disease; an autoimmune disease requiring a lifetime commitment to a gluten-free diet. At the heart of our business is a special variety of higher protein pure gluten-free oats that are grown in dedicated gluten-free fields, harvested on designated gluten-free equipment and packaged in a certified gluten-free facility. There are NO glyphosate sprays used on our oats. We have a 3rd party gluten-free certification from Celiac Support Association, requiring our products to test at 5ppm or less of gluten. The most stringent testing in the industry. Much lower than the FDA requirement of 20ppm. They are the purest oats on the market and are a great source of PROTEIN, fiber and B vitamins. Oats are also a great source of beta glucans soluble and insoluble fiber which have been proven to help lower cholesterol.
